CURCUMINOIDS & PIPERINE: Curcuminoids are found in termeric. Piperine is found in black pepper and long pepper. Both are insoluble in water.
Indications: Antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, antiviral, anti HIV-I activity, anti-atherosclerotic. Hypercholestero-lemia, cataract, uveitis, wound healing. Solid tumors, radiation induced side effects, helps to detoxity drugs and some chemicals. Increases bioavality of some drugs and nutrients. Aid in digestion of food, anticonvulsant.
Dosage and Administration: Adult: Curcuminoids 100mg, piperine 5mg, once or twice a day after meals orally.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, bile duct obstruction, gall stones.
Special-Precautions: Do not take on empty stomach. Pregnancy and lactation. Side-effects: Gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer, epigastric distress and irritation, nausea.
Drug Interactions: Cisplatin, doxorubicin, bleomycin, antiplatelet drugs, anticoagulants, propanolol, theophylline, phenytoin, sulfadiazine, ritampicin, isoniazid, ethambutol, pyrazinamide, dapsona.
