NICOTINE TRANSDERMAL:
Indications: Treatment of nicotine dependence as an aid to smoking cessation
Dosage: Start with 30 sq. cm or 20sq.cm depeding on the number of cigarettes smoked per day (for those smoking over 20 cigarette/day. It is recommended to start with 30sq.cm o.d) Treatment period: 3-4 weeks. Do not exceed treatment period of 3 minits and doses above 30 sq.cm
Contra indications: Occasional smokers, children pregnancy and lactatin acute MI and unstable angia, cardiac arrhythimas recent cerevrovascular accident, active peptic ulcer and hypersensitivity reaction.
Special Precautions: Hypertension, stable angina cerebrovascular disease peripheral vascular disease, heart failure hyprthyroidsim diabets peptic ulcer renal or hepatic impariment skin diseases.
Side effects: Erythema or prutus at application site haeadache, sleepilessness, mylagia flu-like syndrome nausea, dizziness, dyspepsia, dry mounth diarrhoea, sweating angloneurotic edema, urticaria and dyspnea.
