FAROPENIM: It is an oral penem/bets-lactam cticity against bothaerobic and anerobic gram positive and gram negative bacteria.
Indications and Dosage: Administered orally. Lower respiratory tract infections, ENT infections, and genito-urinary infections: 200mg tide can be increased to 300mg tid. Upper respiratory tract infections, skin and skin structure infections, and gynecological infection: 150mg tide can be increased to 200mg tide.
Contra-Indications : Hypersensitivity ot Faropenem and other bata-lactams
Special Precautions : Stop the medicine if diarrhoea and loose bowel movement occur. Patient wth family history of atopy
Pregnancy: Safety has not been established.
Lactation: Use with caution.
Pediatrics: Safety in infant has not beep established.
Geriatrics: Start with a dose of 150 mg
Side effects: Diarrhea, abdominal pain, loose bowel movement, nausea, and rahs are the most frequent adverse effects.
Drug Interactions: Imipenem, cilastain, furosemide, sodum valporate.
