Indications: Mild to moderate infections of respiratory tract, uncomplicated and complicated urinary tract infections.
Dosage: Acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis : 400mg once daily for 10 days.
Cystitis : 400 mg once daily for 10 days.
Complicated Urinary Tract infections 400 mg once daily for 14 days.
Contraindications : Hypersensitivity
Special Precautions: C.N.S disorders Pseudomembranous colitis.
Pediatrics: Safety not established
Pregnancy: Safety not established.
Lactation: Safety no established.
Elderly: No special problem.
Side effects: Nausea, headache, photosensitivity dizziness, diarrhoea.
Antacids containing aluminium and magnesium, sucralfale and iron preparations reduced its absorption and bioavailability. Enhances effect of warfarin.
