NYSTATIN: Similar to Amb in antifungal action an other properties, bacause of higher systemic toxicity it is used only lacally.
Indications: Candida (manillia) albocans : intestina noniliasis & monilia infections of the blood stream, lungs, kidney, blader or other grgans.
Dosage: 5 lac to 10 lac U-3-4 times daily. For oral thrush belet may be sucked or crushed and suspended in glycerine flro application in mouth.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity reactions.
Special Precautions: Discontinue if sensitivity occurs.
Pediatrics: Reduced dose necessary.
Pregnancy & Lactating : No evidence of risks.
Elderly: Safe.
Side effects: Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea in high doses.
