SULFAMOXOL:
Indications: Gastro-intestinal, respiratory ruogenital and skin infection. Manigitis otitis media, tonsilitis, septicaemia.
Dosage: 2gm 1st day then 1gm in 2 divided does children : 1gm 1st day then 500 mg in 2 divided doses
Contra-indications: Pregnancy, hypersensitivity to sulphonamides, renal impairment.
Special Precaution: Potentiates oral anticoagulants, methoterxates and phenytoin Antidiabetic effect of Sulphonyluress. Action antagonised by oaminibenzoic acid and procaine group of local anesthetics.
