Changing product quantity in your shopping cart

SULFADOXINE 500MG+PYRIMETTHAMINE25MGs: For treatment of acute attack of chloroquine resistant P. falciparum. Sulfadoxine is ultra long acting sulfonamide, good for weekly prophykactuc ir suppressive therapy.
Indications: Chloroquine resistant malaria.
Dosage: Prophylaxis : 2 tabs. Children 6-10 yrs; 1-2 tabs at intervals of 1 month
Treatment: 2-3 tabs in single dose. Children 20mg/kg body wt of sulfadoxine and 1mg/kg body wt or pyrimethamine as a single dose.
Contra indications: Hypersensitivity to sulphona mides, severe liver or kidney dysfunction. Blood dyscrasisas, Neeonates, Pregnancy, lactation.
Special Precautions: In term prophulaxi perfrom regular blood counts. G-6PD deficiency.
Side-effects: G.I disorders, skin rashes, pharyngitis or pruritus occurs. Erythema multiforme.
