When you have selected your item you can see your shopping cart items, quantity and total. You can change the quantity by entering the number of quantity you want. Then press 'Update' to change the quantity required.

It is a pseudo-tertrasaccharide which delay’s carbohydrate digestion and glucose absorption therapy reducing postrandial peaks in levels of blood sugar.

INDICATIONS: First line therapy in NIDOM. When dietary restrictions are not adequate, for better glycaemic control who is already on oral therapy.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Chronic intestinal diseases like partial intestinal obstruction, colonic ulceration, inflammatory bowel diseases. Diabetic ketoacidosis and cirrhosis of liver.

SAFETY PROFILE: GI symptoms, abdominal pain, diarrhea.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: With sucrose or fructose containing foods there may be abdominal discomfort. Risk of hypoglycemia if concurrent administration with oral hypoglycemics and/or insulin. Digestive enzymes and oral carbohydrates may reduce the efficacy of acarbose.

DOSAGE: 50 -100 mg three times a day.
