INDICATIONS: Treatment of diarrhea and dysentery of amoebic, bacterial or mixed origins.
DOSAGE: The dosage is one tablet twice daily for 5-10 days.
CONTRA INDIACTIONS: In patients hypersensitivity to quiolone group of compounds.
SIDE-EFFECTS: Nausea, head ache, dizziness, fatigue, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, insomnia, constipation, heart burn and metallic taste.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Disulfiram like reaction when use with alcohol. Probenecid reduces the urinary excretion of Norfloxacin. Nitrofurantoin antagonizes the effects of Norfloxacin. Theophylline level are increased when use with Norfloxacin. Effects of oral anticoagulant are increased.
