FLUOROMETHOLONE:It is a corticosteroid which inhibits inflammatory response to a variety of inciting agents and probably delays or slows healing. Fluorometholone suspension inhibits the edema, fibrin deposition, capillary dilation, and leukocyte migration, and capillary proliferation, deposition of collagen and scar formation associated with inflammation.
Indications : Treatment of corticosteroid responsive inflammation of the apparel and pulsar conjunctiva, cornea and anterior segment of the eye.
Dosage : Instill one drop into the conjunctiva sac two to four times daily. During the initial 24 to 48 hours, the dosage may be increased to one application every for hours.
Contra-Indications : : Viral disease of the coma and conjunctiva epithelial herpes simplex dermatitis, vaccine, curricula, and also in mycobacterium infection of ocular structures.
Special Precautions : Pregnancy, lactation Pediatric use: Safety and effectiveness in children below the age tow years have not been established.
Side effects : Elevation of intraocular pressure with possibility of glaucoma and infrequent optic nerve damage, posterior subcasular cataract formation and delayed wound healing.
