Bimatoprost is a prostamide, a synthentic structured analog of prsotagladin that selectively mimics the effects of naturally occurring substances.
INDICATIONS: Reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patient with open angle glaucoma, ocular hypertension.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypersensitivity to the drug or any of its ingredient.
SAFETY PROFILE: Caution required in patient with active intraocular inflammation (e.g. uveitis) macular oedema it should not be administered while wearing contact lenses during pregnancy administrated only if potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the foetus.
ADVERSE EFFECTS: Conuctival hyperemia growth of eyelashes, ocular pruritus.
DOSAGE: One drop in the affected eye (S) once daily in the morning.
