When you have selected your item you can see your shopping cart items, quantity and total. You can change the quantity by entering the number of quantity you want. Then press 'Update' to change the quantity required.

Indications: Benign prostatic hyperplasia; male pattern baldness in men.

Cautions: Obstructive uropathy, prostate cancer (may decrease markers such as prostate specific antigen); use of condoms recommended if sexual parther is pregnant or is likely to become pregnant or is likely to become pregnant (finasteride excreted in semen); women of childbearing potential should avoid handling crushed or broken tablets.

Side-Effect
Impotence, decreased libido, ejaculation disorders, testicular pain, breast tenderness and enlargement, hypersensitivity reactions (including lip and face swelling, pruritus and rash).

Dose
5 mg daily, review treatment after 6 months (may require several months treatment before benefit is obtained).

USES
Treats noncancerous enlargement of the prostate gland in men (bengin prostatic hypertrophy or BPH). Theoretically, may prevent the development of prostate cancer. Treatment of male pattern hair loss in men only.

DOSAGE & USAGE INFORMATION

HOW TO TAKE ?
Tablets - Swallow with liquid. If you can't swallow whole, crumble tablet and take with liquid or food.

WHEN TO TAKE ?
Once a day or as directed, with or without meals.

IF YOU FORGET A DOSE ?
Take as soon as you remember up to 2 hours late. If more than 2 hours, wait for next scheduled dose (don't double this dose).

WHAT DRUG DOES ?
Inhibits the enzyme needed for the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestoerone. Dihydrotestosterone is required for the development of benign prostatic hypertrophy.

TIME LAPSE BEFORE DRUG WORKS
• May require up to 6 months for full therapeutic effect for BPH.
• For treatment of hair loss, may not see any benefit for 3 months or more.

WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS

DON'T TAKE IT IF
• You are allergic to finasteride.
• You are a female or a child.

BEFORE YOU START, CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
• If you have not had a blood test to check for prostate cancer.
• If your sexual partner is pregnant or may become pregnant.
• If yoy have a liver disorder.
• If you have reduced urinary flow.
• If you have large residual urinary volume.

PREGNANCY
• Not recommended for women.
• Pregnant women should not handle the crushed tablets.
• Ask your doctor if you should avoid exposure to mate's semon if he takes finasteride.

BREAST FEEDING
Not recommended for women.

SKIN & SUNLIGHT
No special problems expected.

OTHERS
• Advise any doctor or dentist whom you consult that you take this medicine.
• May affect results of some medical tests.
• For those who respond well, the drug must be continued indefinitely.
