It is a short acting & blocker.
INDICATIONS: Pheochromocytoma, extravasation of noradrenalline or dopamine causing hypertensive episode.
DOSAGE: Hypertensive Episodes: 2.5 mg by intravenous injection, repeat if necessary.
Pheochromocytoma: As advised.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypotension, history of myocardial infarction, coronary insufficiency, angina.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS: Monitor blood pressure, heart rate, gastritis, peptic ulcer, renal impairment.
SIDE-EFFECTS: Postual hypotension, dizziness, tachycardia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, nasal congestion, chest pain, arrhythmias.
