And Other Appropriate Measures. Prevention Of Coronary Events. Need
For Revascularisation Proceduress And To Slow Progression Coronary
Atherosclerosis In Patients With Coronary Heart Disease.
Contraindications: Active Liver Diseases Or Increased
Serum Transaminase, Hypersensitivity To Any Component, Renal Impairment,
Pregnancy, Lactation.
Adverse Effects: Pravastatin Is Generally Welltolerated,
And Side Effects Are Rare. Minor Side Effects Includes Constipation,
Diarrhoea, Fatigue, Gas, Heart Bum, And Headache. Major Side Effects
Include Abdominal Pain Or Cramps, Blurred Vision, Dizziness Easy
Brusing Or Bleeding, Itching, Muscle Pain Or Cramps, Rash, And Yellowing
Of The Skin Or Eyes.
Dosage: Adult Dose
Initial: An Initial Dose Of 10 Mg. Once A Day Is Recommended In
Patients With Significant Renal Function Impairment Or Hepatic Function
Impairment And For The Elderly.
Maintenance: 10 To 40 Mg Once A Day At Bedtime.
In The Elderly, Maintenance Doses Of 20 Mg, A Day Or Less Are Usually
Effective.
