When you have selected your item you can see your shopping cart items, quantity and total. You can change the quantity by entering the number of quantity you want. Then press 'Update' to change the quantity required.

GLICLAZIDE: It is a anti-diabetic agent with both metabolic and vascular properties. It restores the early peak of insulin secretion and ensures glycaemic control throughout 24 hours without hypoglycemia. Gliclazide combats microthrombosis by decreasing platelet hyper adhesiveness & hyper aggregation, increasing fibrinolytic activity, normalizing prostaglandin metabolism, scavenging free-radicats.

Indication: Non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, diabetes with or without obesity in adults, diabetes in the elderly, diabetes with vascular complications.

Dosage: 80-320 mg daily. Usually 160mg daily.

Contra-indication: Pregnancy, severe renal or hepatic failure, severe ketosis, acidosis, diabetic percoma and coma.

Special precautions: Diuretics and barbiutrates may reduce the drug activity

Side-effect: Cutaneous reactions, blood dyscrasias.

Drug interaction: Hypoglycaemic effect in creased by aspirin, phenylbutazone, clofibrate, sulphona-mides, oral anticoagulants and MAOI’s. Hypo-glycaemic effect opposed by rifampicin barbiturates, alcohol, diuretics, sympathomimetic drugs.
