CEPHALEXIN:It is bactericidal which is active against a wide range of Gram-Positive and Gram-negative organisms
Indications: Respiratory tract infections. E.N.T Urinary tart, Gynecological and obstetric infections, Gonorrhea (When Penicillin is unsuitable).
Dosage: Adults: 1-4 gm daily in equally divided dose 6 holy.
Children: 5-15 yrs 25-50 mg/kg body wt. daily divided doses.
Contra-indication: Hypersensitivity to cephalous sporrans.
Special Precautions: It is well tolerated by patient allergic to penicillin, but cross-reactions have beer encountered rarely.
Pediatrics: Safe
Pregnancy: Use with caution during early months
Lactation: The drug passes into breast milk
Elderly: Renal impairment may occur
Side effects: Nausea, vomiting diarrhea, Reversible Neutrogena. Drug rashes.
Drug Interactions: Concurrent treatment with amino glycosides or potent diuretics (Foresaid ethacrynic acid and pertained) may adversely latest renal function.
