Indiacations: Respiratory-tract infections; otitis media; skin and soft-tissue infections; uncomplicated genital clamydial infections and non-gonococcal urethritis; mild or moderate typhoid due to multiple - antibacterial resistant organisms.

Cautions: See under Erythromycin; pregnancy and breast-feeding;

Interacitons: Appendix 1 (erythromycin and other macrolides).

Contra-Indiacations: Hepatic impairment

Side-Effects: see under Erythromycin; anorexia; dyspepsia, constipation; dizziness, headache, Nephritis, acute renal failure, asthenia paraesthsia, convulsions and mild neutropenia reported; rarely tinnitus, hepatic necrosis, hepatic failure, and taste disturbance.

DOSE: 500 mg once daily for 3 days; CHILD over 6 months 10 mg/kg once daily for 3 days; or body weight 15-25 kg. 200 mg once daily for days; body-weight 26-35 kg, 300 mg once daily for e days; body-weight 26-45kg, 400 mg once daily for 3 days.

Uncomplicated genital chalmydial infections and non-gonococcal urethritis, 1 g as a single dose Typhoid [ unlicensed indication ], 500 mg once daily for 7 days.
