Terbinafine Changing product quantity in your shopping cart
When you have selected your item you can see your shopping cart items, quantity and total. You can change the quantity by entering the number of quantity you want. Then press 'Update' to change the quantity required.

It is allylamine oral antifungal. It has excellent activity against dermatophytes. Like griseofulvin, it is a keratophilic medication, but unlike griseofulvin it is fungicidal. It is well delivered to the nail plate and persist for 6-9 months after treatment is ended.

INDICATIONS: Onychomycosis of nails, ringworm.

CONTRINDICATIONS: Patients with marked azotemia, hepatic failure.

SAFETY PROFILE: In renal impairment and hepatic failure. The dosages should be adjusted as there may be increases in plasma concentration of drug.

ADVERS EFFECTS: Most adverse effects are minor like diarrhea, dyspepsia, headache or rash, taste disturbances. Rarely, hepatotoxicity, severe neutropenia, Stevens-Johnson syndrome or toxic epidermal necorlysis may occur.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Rifampicin decrease and cimetidine increase plasma terbinafine concentration.

DOSAGE: One tablet of 250 mg, daily for 12 weeks in toe nail infection and for 6 weeks in finger nail infection.
