Chlormezanone
It is centrally acting muscle relaxant. It act on spinal cord where block polysynaptic reflexes.
INDICATIONS : Musculo skeletal disorders, inflammatory & degenerative processes.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Acute intermittent porphyria.
SAFETY PROFILE : In driving or operating machinery. Impaired hepatic or renal function.
ADVERSE EFFECTS : Nausea, weakness, dizzi¬ness, drowsiness, neuritic vasomotor pain, fibrositis, myositis.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Additive effect with alcohol & CMS acting drugs.
DOSAGE: Adult: 100-200 mg. t.i.d.
Elderly: 50-100mg.t.i.d.
Children : 5-12 yrs. 50-100mg daily 3-4 times.
