It is a member of newer class, selective no-radrenaline reuptake inhibitor, in the family of anti-depressant. It inhibit norephinephrine re uptake. It rapidly absorbed orally and eliminated by renal route.
INDICATIONS: Depressive illness.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Epilepsy, bipolar disorder, glaucoma, urinary retention.
SAFETY PROFILE: Hepatic and renal diseases.
ADVERSE EFFECTS: Dry mouth, insomnia, constipation, nausea, sweating, headache, urinary hesitancy, postural hypotension, tachycardia.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Amitriptyline antipsychotics, cyclosporine, imidazole, tinidazole.
DOSAGE : 8-10mg per day
