It is an antibiotic used topically in treatment of severe acne where
metronidazole gel is not tolerated by the patients.
INDICATIONS: Mild popular inflammatory acne
and severe acne.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypersensitivity to clindamycin
or any component, previous pseudomembranous colitis, hepatic impairment.
SAFETY PROFILE: Avoid contact topical gel with
eyes, abraded skin or mucous membrane.
ADVERSE EFFECTS: Rashes, burning, stinging,
erythema.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Increased duration of neuromuscular
blockade from tubocuraine and pancuronium.
DOSAGE: Apply a thin film on affected site twice
daily.
