(All trans Vitamin A acid, Tretinoin): it is a potent comedolytic and has potential to rritate the skin. It has no antibacterial action but stimulates epidermal cell turnover causes peeling.
INDICATIONS: Acne vulgaris and acne venenata.
DOSAGE: Apply 1-2 times daily on the entire area with lesions for 6-7 wks.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS: Acute eczema rosacea. Cuts, abrasions. Acute dermatitis. Eyes, nose, mouth mucous membranes.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS: Pregnnancy. Aovid exposure to sunlight. UV lamps. Avoid concomitant therapy mucous membranes.
SIDE-EFFECTS: Feeling of warmth, stinging, excessive redness, oedema and crusting.
