TINQCORQIN: It exerts its action by promoting leucocytosis with predominant effect on neutrophils. It enhances phagocytic and intracellular killing capacity of macrophages and PMN's, stimulates release of cytokines like GM-CSF, 1L1, IL2 and causes the proliferation of B-lymphocytes.
Indications: Adjuvant in chronic recurrent tonsillitis, peritonsillar abscess, chronic otitis media tuberculosis, chronic bronchitis, chronic recurrent allergic bronchial asthma, hepatitis B infections, cirrhosis of the liver, obstructive jaundice, peritonitis, post surgical abdominal infections in diabetes mellitus, burns,
Contra-indcations: Not known. - Adults: 5QOmg thrice daily for 2-4weeks. It may be given for upto 6 months in conditions like tuberculosis, malignancy and other recurrent infection. Children : 100mg thrice daily. Nausea, vomiting and joint pains.
