DIENOESTROL: It is a non-steroidal synthetic estrogen for topical use. Preparation is a whit non staining cream containing 0.01% w/w deenosetrol for intra-vaginal use only.
Indication: Atrophic virginities, kraurosis.
Dosage : 1-2 applicatorsful per day for 1-2 weeks, then gradually reduce ot one galf initial dosage for a similar period. Maint; 1 applicatorful, 1-3 times a week.
Contra-indications: Know or suspected, cancer of the breast, estrogen dependent neoplasia,
pregnancy. Undiagnosed abnormal genital bleeding. Active thrombophlebitis or thromboembolic disorders.
Special Precautions: Fluid retention epilepsy, migraine & cardiac or renal dysfuntion. Metaboilc bone diseases impaired liver functions. History of mental depression. Diabetes, Pre-existing uterine leukmyomata.
Pediatrics : Should not be used.
Pregnancy : Use with caution
Lactation : Safe.
Elderly : Safe
Side-effects : Burning, itching & irriation.
Drug Interactions : Rifampicin, Barbiturates and phenytoin increase its rate of metabolism.
